Samyang’s current Korean product page lists the 120g Big Cup at 465 kcal, six months shelf life and a May 2023 launch for the renewed version. The manufacturer describes the product as a Buldak stew noodle with a thicker, spicy broth and stronger garlic character.
There is a historical wrinkle. Samyang also has an older product page for Buldak Stew Big Cup showing an August 2016 launch, 120g and 455 kcal, and that older page is marked discontinued. The 2023 product is therefore a relaunch/renewal, not the first time Samyang made a Buldak stew cup. KCN should tell that story cleanly instead of giving one launch year with no context.
The food type is instant fried noodles. Samyang lists the cup construction as polyethylene on the inner surface with paper outside, and polyethylene on the lid’s inner layer. That packaging detail can matter for destination recycling or material reporting.
The product architecture is the real point. Original Buldak is a stir-fried noodle where the sauce coats the noodles. The Stew product preserves a thick soup. That gives retailers a genuine reason to carry it beside Original: the eating format is different, not merely the flavor color.
The exact preparation instructions should come from the current 2023 pack. Reusing Original Buldak’s drain-and-stir method would be wrong. This product depends on retaining water to build the broth.
The six-month shelf life means KCN should quote remaining life from the stock being supplied. A relaunch can attract attention, but a buyer should not turn that attention into oversized inventory without retailer commitments.
