Nongshim Potato Chips Yeop Tteok Rosé 95g: A June 2026 Collaboration, Not a Generic “Korean Trend” Snack

This product has an exact origin story and date, so there is no reason to fill its page with vague language about Korean snack trends.

On 16 June 2026, Nongshim announced a collaboration with the Korean tteokbokki franchise Dongdaemun Yeopgi Tteokbokki, better known as Yeop Tteok. The new Potato Chips Yeop Tteok Rosé Flavor was scheduled to launch on 22 June 2026. Nongshim described the product as its existing Potato Chip format seasoned to reproduce the spicy-creamy profile of Yeop Tteok’s Rosé tteokbokki.

The manufacturer says the chips are made from 100% fresh potatoes sliced thin, then finished with Yeop Tteok Rosé seasoning. Nongshim’s current product information lists the larger pack at 95g, 540 kcal and six months of shelf life.

KCN lists NONGSHIM POTATO CHIPS YEOP TTEOK ROSÉ FLAVOR 95g, Korean name 농심 포테토칩 엽떡 로제맛 95g, barcode 8801043067768, as a New Arrival. KCN lists 12 bags per carton, which gives 1.14 kg of declared food net weight per case before bag and carton packaging.

The collaboration is the product, not an SEO angle

The flavor is tied to a specific restaurant brand and a specific menu concept. That matters to an importer because the retail packaging is doing two jobs: selling Nongshim Potato Chips and referencing Yeop Tteok’s Rosé identity.

Any overseas description should therefore preserve the actual collaboration accurately. KCN should not rename it “Korean Rose Tteokbokki Chips” and erase the licensed brand relationship, nor should it make claims about Yeop Tteok’s local popularity in a destination country without evidence.

The manufacturer’s own release is enough story: a potato-chip line has been crossed with the seasoning profile of a Korean tteokbokki franchise.

95g of chips creates only 1.14kg of food across twelve bags

That number illustrates why snack freight is often a cube problem. Twelve 95g bags contain just 1.14 kg of food, but the air-filled retail packs need enough volume to protect the chips.

The actual carton dimensions and gross weight should therefore be requested from KCN before a landed-cost model is completed. An importer who looks only at kilograms can underestimate how quickly large snack bags fill an LCL shipment.

The product is also fragile. Heavy drink cartons, sauce cases or canned goods should not be stacked on top of potato-chip cartons during consolidation.

A June 2026 product should be bought like a June 2026 product

This SKU does not have decades of local sales history. It is a new collaboration product launched only months before the current KCN catalogue work.

That makes the first order a test. A distributor can place it with Korean grocery stores and selected supermarkets, see how the collaboration translates outside Korea, and use reorder speed to determine the second purchase.

The manufacturer targeted younger, trend-sensitive consumers in Korea, but that is Nongshim’s launch strategy, not proof of demand in Dubai, London or Sydney. KCN’s article should keep that distinction clean.

The six-month shelf life reinforces the point. A new snack with bulky cartons and a six-month clock should not be overbought because the packaging is interesting.

KCN can quote the Yeop Tteok Rosé chips alongside other Nongshim potato chips, ramen and new-arrival snacks. The buyer can then build a controlled novelty section without depending on one collaboration to carry the shipment.
