The company’s sustainability reporting also describes a specific processing approach for porridge pouches: preprocessing and sterilization are used to retain rice-grain texture and the character of the other ingredients while creating a shelf-stable ready meal.
KCN lists DONGWON YANGBAN BEEF PORRIDGE 420g, Korean name 동원 양반 쇠고기죽 420g, barcode 8801047169253, as a New Arrival, with 20 pouches per carton. That is 8.4 kg of declared food net weight per case before the shipping carton.
Dongwon’s own current online store identifies the product as 즉석조리식품, a ready-to-cook/ready-meal food, and on one current listing explicitly describes it as a retort sterilized product. The current official retail information also says the 420g pouch is manufactured by Dongwon F&B in Gwangju, Korea.
The ingredient file immediately changes the import route
Dongwon’s current official product information lists water and Korean rice made from glutinous and non-glutinous rice, along with Australian beef, carrot, beef-based sauces, sesame oil, dried shiitake mushroom and seasonings. Current allergen declarations include soy, wheat, milk and beef.
The presence of real beef is the technical issue an importer cannot ignore.
Some destinations allow shelf-stable retort products containing meat under ordinary processed-food rules. Others require approved plants, health certificates, veterinary controls, specific import permits or border inspection for animal-origin products. The destination authority needs to decide that, not the supplier’s generic export experience.
